• Extreme Cold As A Bed Bug Control Tactic

There are only a few reliable bed bug control tactics out there, and you need to find one right away if you have bed bugs. These can ruin your home. They get into more than just beds. They also like to infest blankets, clothes, couches, and just about anything else that they can hide in. They will lay eggs there so that, even when you think they are gone, they are still in your home. The eggs will grow into full-sized bed bugs so that the infestation returns. The only way to be totally sure that you killed them all is to use the temperature.

Proponents of chemicals would tell you that you can also kill all of the bed bugs with these. However, this is not always the case. The problem is that bed bugs can be anywhere. They can be in tiny cracks in the floor and dark places in the backs of closets. The odds that you will find them all and spray them are very slim. Chemicals cannot get everywhere unless you put them there. The eggs are especially easy to miss, leading to a second infestation as discussed above.

Using the temperature as a bed bug control tactic is a flawless plan because the temperature reaches every corner of the house. It moves through those cracks in the floor and it moves into the backs of all of your closets. It will kill the grown bugs and the eggs alike so that you do not have to worry about ever struggling with these bugs again. You can choose to utilize the temperature in two main ways. You can either heat the home up or cool it down. Both will work, but those on a budget should choose extreme cold.

During the winter, you simply have to drain the water from your pipes and move out of your home for a few days. This is the downside, and the only one. The upside is that this is completely free. Once the temperature drops below freezing, the bed bugs will only be able to last for a couple of days before they die. You should check on the home while this is happening to make sure that snow and ice are not getting inside, but you should not have to worry about this if you just crack the windows. That will be enough to let the heat out and the cold in.

When you move back in, the bugs will be dead. You can be sure that every inch of your home grew just as cold; you know how hard it is to keep any heat in a home during the winter. The bugs will be gone forever. It should only take a few hours for you to get the water going and to get the heat turned back on. You will have a clean home once again. This free bed bug control tactic is one that many people use every year with a great deal of success.
